The legend goes that Emily West aka Emily Morgan, the "Yellow Rose of Texas", was instrumental in the defeat of Santa Anna at San Jacinto by Sam Houston's forces. When Santa Anna, chasing Houston's forces in the Runaway Scrape, had burned and pillaged the settlement of New Washington where West lived she was taken prisoner by the dictator and forced to be his concubine.

On the fateful afternoon of April 21, 1836 when the Texians attacked shouting "Remember the Alamo. Remember Goliad!", Santa Anna was indisposed, locked away in his tent with West.

She "distracted" him enough to where he wasn't able to mobilize any sort of a defense against the attack and his Mexican forces were routed in just 18 minutes, securing the independence of Texas.

Care Instructions

Best if machine washed inside out on cold with like colors on gentle cycle.

Air dry or tumble dry on low for longest lasting results.

You should not experience any shrinking if washed and dried properly.

To remove wrinkles, use only a cool iron if absolutely necessary and spray with water as you go. 

Do not dry clean. Do not bleach.
