It is thought that Emily West, the "Yellow Rose of Texas", was instrumental in the defeat of Santa Anna at San Jacinto by Sam Houston's forces. It is said that when Santa Anna, chasing Houston's forces in the Runaway Scrape, had burned and pillaged the settlement of New Washington where West lived she was taken prisoner by the dictator and forced to be his concubine.

The story goes that on the fateful afternoon of April 21, 1836 when the Texians attacked shouting "Remember the Alamo, remember Goliad!", Santa Anna was indisposed, locked away in his tent with West.

The Legend says she "distracted" him enough to where he wasn't able to mobilize any sort of a defense against the attack and his Mexican forces were routed in just 18 minutes, securing the independence of Texas.

Made from soft, breathable, and lightweight fabric, it's ideal for various occasions—from office casual wear to social events and even in the hunting camp. Make a statement of beauty paying tribute and respect to the Legend of The Yellow Rose of Texas.
